Kick Off

Shouldn't you be able to read a column called 100 Percent Soccer 100 percent of the time?

We thought so, too.

The result is this blog.

As the blog's subtitle suggests, this will (hopefully) become your starting point for all things soccer in and around Los Angeles.

We'll blog before games, from games and after games to keep you up to date on local soccer happenings.

For the time being pardon our dust as we gradually add features. For that matter, if you have a local link or a story tip you think should be included e-mail it to us. And of course, comments are always welcome.

To kick things off, here's my regular weekly column.

It's about time. Please be even more outrageously opinionated here than you are in your column. Indeed.

Way ta go Nick - very impressive blog. But can't help but think that the link to Norwich City FC will be the "least" used of the links. I mean...come on, they're not even in the EPL! Oh wait...but Leeds just got relegated to League 1. Well, I'll just keep my big mouth shut then. Nice job brudda.

About 100 Percent Soccer

Sportswriter Nick Green has written the 100 Percent Soccer column since 2005 for the Daily News, Daily Breeze and other Los Angeles area newspapers. The blog of the same name began in 2007. A native of England, he began writing about soccer in the mid-1980s and in 2000 permanently exchanged a seat in the stands for one in the press box. He lives six miles from Carson's Home Depot Center, home of the Los Angeles Galaxy, Chivas USA and the training headquarters for U.S. Soccer and is married to a long-suffering soccer widow.
