Result: Hollywood United 4 Galaxy 12
The score was largely irrelevant, but the amount raised for charity wasn't: the final figure will be more than $90,00 with 5,543 in attendance.
David Beckham came off in the 83rd minute to loud applause, presumably having clinched his place in the next England team.
Pete Vagenas scored off a volley in the second half straight from a Beckham corner kick, Newhall's Mike Caso got a brace, including one from another Beckham assist.
Chris Klein also scored two goals, while Canadian Kevin Harmse ran through the United defense with an individual effort to make it a dozen goals for the Galaxy.
Next up for the Galaxy: the first game of their end of season world tour Wednesday in Vancouver, B.C. against the Whitecaps.
