David Beckham and manager Simon Fuller of "American Idol" fame have an option to buy an MLS team in 2011 when his Galaxy contract expires, according to a "60 Minutes" report scheduled to air at 7 p.m. Sunday on CBS.

Neither MLS nor the Galaxy would comment.

Beckham receives a salary of $5.5 million annually and a "large share" of Galaxy ticket, merchandise, and concession sales and Tim Leiweke, president of AEG, the Galaxy's corporate parent, said that despite injuries and limited playing time, Beckham beat financial expectations.

"When we set down on a piece of paper and said to David, 'Here's what we think you can make here,' he did better than that," he said.

Becks also demonstrates his trademark bending free kick and gives a guided tour of his tattoos, for those who care.
