Saturday Chivas USA Gameday

| | Comments (0) |

Two days after the Galaxy started their MLS season in Carson, Chivas USA plays their home opener at 7:30 tonight against perennial MLS bottom dwellers Real Salt Lake at Home Depot Center live on Prime.

Plenty of tickets are available including a $50 package to five Chivas USA home games that includes tonight's match, the June 19 visit of Cuauhtemoc Blanco and the Chicago Fire and the Aug. 14 derby against the Galaxy.

Tonight also marks the start of Chivas USA's "The shirts off their backs" campaign when the 11 players that finish the game will throw their jerseys into the crowd after the final whistle. Temperatures will be in the high 50s by the look of it. Brrr.

A game preview is here, while the two Salt Lake City newspapers give a historical perspective about Real Salt Lake's lack of success at the HDC here and here.

Chivas USA striker Ante Razov is listed as probable for today's game after suffering a calf strain in the match against FC Dallas, by the way.
