Road Trip! - Earthquakes At Buck Shaw
With both the Galaxy and Chivas USA on the road, it seemed only logical I should do the same and head north to the Bay Area for the inaugural San Jose Earthquakes (1-3-0) game against FC Dallas (2-1-2) at Santa Clara Univerisity's Buck Shaw Stadium.
Gorgeous weather, quaint stadium, a rocking atmosphere, yes, they sell beer (it's apparently dry for collegiate events) and free press box food (are you listening Galaxy?).
What's not to like?
As for the game, a brief preview is here, which notes ex-Chivas USA defender Jason Hernandez is starting, while the full magnitude of the event is explained here.
Back later with more.

A quick correction - we're just the Quakes, not the Earth Quakes, and we won our opener 3-1 :)
Nick replies: Thanks, Jon. That was a typo I can't correct easily because of chronic problems in our blogging software. Thanks for reading.
