Did David Beckham just see his England career come to an end?

Arsenal's highly-regarded 19-year-old Theo Wolcott got the nod over the Galaxy midfielder today and scored three goals in an impressive 4-1 England win over Croatia in World Cup qualifying.

The win avenges England's loss to Croatia in Euro 2008 qualifying that saw them fail to make the finals in Austria and Switzerland.

But Beckham was restricted to just six minutes of action and came on as a substitute for the second consecutive England game.

Game report here.
