With a loss the Galaxy are out of playoff contention, while a third consecutive Rapids road win will vault Colorado back into the third and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Coach Bruce Arena makes just two enforced changes from the team that lost 1-0 last Saturday to the Crew.

Bryan Jordan replaces David Beckham, who is on international duty with England, while Alan Gordon deputizes for Landon Donovan, who has returned from Washington and is on the bench.

Galaxy lineup: Josh Saunders, Chris Klein, Sean Franklin, Troy Roberts, Greg Vanney, Jordan, Joe Franchino, Pete Vagenas, Eddie Lewis. Edson Buddle, Gordon.

Colorado has top scorer Conor Casey suspended, so Tom McManus will play as the lone forward. Former Galaxy defender Ugo Ihemelu replaces Mike Petke in the starting XI.

Rapids lineup: Preston Burpo, Kosuke Kimura, Cory Gibbs, Ihemelu, Jordan Harvey, Terry Cooke, Mehdi Ballouchy, Colin Clark, Nick LaBrocca, Pablo Mastroeni, McManus.
