Cal State Dominguez Hills teams swept Cal State San Marcos Wednesday, the No. 6-ranked men men (15-2-1) winning 5-3, the 11-7 women winning 5-1 over their sixth-ranked opponent in the Toros' final home game of the regular season. The CSUDH programs close out their respective conference campaigns on the road this weekend.
Finally, a tip of the hat to two press box colleagues, Andrea Canales and Luis Bueno, who are shutting down their blog Sideline Views. It was one of my daily must reads. Andrea, one of the few female soccer writers in the country, brought a unique perspective to the game, while Luis was one of the most knowledgeable English-language writers on Mexican futbol in the region. Both will continue to write for other outlets; me, I'll miss seeing them daily in the same place.

About 100 Percent Soccer
Sportswriter Nick Green has written the 100 Percent Soccer column since 2005 for the Daily News, Daily Breeze and other Los Angeles area newspapers. The blog of the same name began in 2007. A native of England, he began writing about soccer in the mid-1980s and in 2000 permanently exchanged a seat in the stands for one in the press box. He lives six miles from Carson's Home Depot Center, home of the Los Angeles Galaxy, Chivas USA and the training headquarters for U.S. Soccer and is married to a long-suffering soccer widow. Thanks for the blog. I missed the game. Just a heads up..the patch of pine trees by the jogging track has quite a few rattle snakes there. I've seen them while biking throughout. Watch your kids in that area...and don't hurt the snakes. :) They keep our rodent population in check.
