    Hey Nick… any word if there is going to be a January friendly against a Scandanavian country again in ’09 at the HDC? I thought the the TV play-by-play guy for the Guatemala match said Sweden was coming back, but I haven’t been able to find any info. Have you heard anything?

    Nick replies: No, but that wouldn’t surprise me given past history at the HDC in January.

    Also, congrats to Donovan. What are his chances for playing with Podolski, Toni, and Close already there? I guess Klinsman said he’d see the field or I can’t imagine Landon would have agreed.

    Nick replies: Every top team in Europe these days needs four strikers considering the amount of games; Podolski is believed on his way out anyway.
