So does this mean beleagured Mexico Coach Sven-Göran Eriksson keeps his job at least until Jan. 28?

That's when he leads Mexico against his native country in Oakland in a game announced today.

Tickets starting at $20 went on sale today to Visa card holders and go on sale to the general public Dec. 15.

Mexico will play five games in the U.S. in 2009 in the sixth edition of what has become an annual tour.

And for those of you who like to make a note on your calendar so that crucial World Cup qualifier doesn't clash with a trip to see Aunt Agnes, here's the (packed) schedule of U.S. Men's National Team games scheduled next year (so far).

With the exception of the Sweden friendly at Home Depot Center in Carson and the trio of Confederations Cup games in South Africa, all are World Cup qualifiers; venues have yet to be determined. The Gold Cup runs July 3-26 with venues and teams to be announced
