Galaxy’s Donovan to make Bayern Munich Debut Saturday

The time has arrived for Landon Donovan to begin making his case for a permanent move to Germany: he’s scheduled to make his debut Saturday for Bayern in a friendly in Dubai.

Details from Bayern’s official Web site here.

Donovan is already moving up Bayern’s depth chart, with rival striker Lukas Podolski reportedly out with the flu for the game and likely on his way out of the club, too.

    Good Luck LD!

For him and the Galaxy a quick solution (permanent deal or coming back for good) would be handy, even though it’s unlikely.

Wow. I am nervous for him. I’m crossing my fingers he does well. He seems to thrive under pressure lately, whereas before he did not. So that should be a sign he’ll do fine, although one must take into account that he hasn’t played a game in a while and it’s his first game with the team.
