Friday Football: Lalas on Becks & More
Early headlines:
*Say what you want about Alexi Lalas, but the man is a great quote.
Bait and switch headline though. Clicks are everything, I guess.
*Also:The press is in full drool over the Italian league debut of David Beckham this weekend.
*Shifting gears to the U.S. Men's National Team training camp in Carson and, um, Geoff Cameron, is out with a hamstring issue and has returned to Texas to rehab. Bummer. (Chad Marshall and Stewart Holden also sat out of training Thursday with knocks; the team has Friday off).
Cameron sounded damn thrilled in this video (which also has some deft Robbie Rogers ball skills) to be in camp period.
Updated 8:19 a.m.: Minimal blogging the rest of the day, while I complete a project and try to make it out of the office to see the Interliga games at the HDC tonight.

I'm still waiting for a "Tell All" thing from Alexi. Despite his track record as a GM, I still like the guy.
Shame Rogers can't show off his skills for the Galaxy...
I think these Nats team camps are a great thing, most if not all European Nats teams don't have such camps at all, or only shortly before a tournament.
