Beckham Creates Two Goals Sunday in AC Milan Win Over Lazio
Ah, if only David Beckham had a classy supporting cast like this in Carson.
The clamor for the Galaxy midfielder to join AC Milan on a permanent basis is only likely to grow after he created the first two goals in AC Milan's emphatic 3-0 win Sunday over Lazio.
The first came from an inch-perfect Beckham cross, the second from a trademark free kick as AC Milan closed the gap on intra-city rivals Inter Milan at the top of Serie A.
That makes two goals and two assists in his last three games for AC Milan.

Updated: And after that performance, Milan are "desperate" to kick Becks.

Nick, it's not the supporting cast; it's the morale. Beckham's performance dipped last year because morale on the Galaxy is awful. In any workplace, toxic morale is contageous. It's the result of Tim Leiweke's neurotic penchant to intimidate and place suffocating pressure on people to get what he wants. Well, he alienated his two best players, Beckham and Donovan, who have the ability and wherewithal to play elsewhere. As a result, he blew the Beckham experiment big time when it comes to long-terms gains for the team, AEG and the league (profits from jersey sales and luxury boxes notwithstanding).
