Chivas USA Sign Mexican Forward Lillingston
Moving to bolster its injury-prone striking corps, Chivas USA today signed Eduardo Lillingston, a 12-year veteran of the Mexican First Division.
The 31-year-old Guadalajara native has been training with Chivas USA since the club's preseason trip to Guadalajara in mid-February.
"Eduardo is an experienced player who has shown a good workrate and positive attitude since joining us," said Chivas USA Coach Preki.
Lillingston scored 57 goals in 258 games (118 starts) for Toluca, Atlas, Santos and most recently Tecos UAG.
He awaits a work permit.
Chivas USA are awaiting veteran Ante Razov, 2007 top scorer Maykel Galindo and Alecko Eskandarian to regain full fitness.
Updated: Fourth round draft pick Jamie Franks has left camp.

Wowwww!!!! This guy can't even contral a ball given to his feet, is slow, can't run past defenders, is not good in air - a couple of his goals in pre-season were "gimmies".
I doubt he will even get to the 10 goal mark this year. Chivas is by far the cheapest team in the league when it comes to acquiring talent.
