Galaxy-Colorado Rapids at Home Depot Center

Good evening from Home Depot Center where the crummy economy (or bad team or a combination thereof) means the Galaxy will be lucky to crest 15,000 tonight.

On the field, Coach Bruce Arena makes three changes to the team that drew 2-2 on March 22 in the season opener with D.C. United.

Eddie Lewis returns from injury to take over at left back for rookie A.J. DeLaGarza, who is on the bench, while midfielder Mike Magee doesn’t even dress and is replaced by Kyle Patterson, who started on the bench last time out. Jovan Kirovski also drops to the bench in favor of Alan Gordon, who sees his first action of the season.

New signing Gregg Berhalter is on the bench.

The complete starting XI: Saunders, Gonzalez, Sanneh, Franklin, Klein, Kovalenko, Tudela, Patterson, Donovan, Gordon.

Former Chivas USA goalkeeper Preston Burpo gets the start for the Rapids, who also have former Galaxy defender Ugo Ihemelu in the back four. Pablo Mastroeni is in midfield as usual, while Conor Casey and Omar Cummings.

The game is delayed locally so stay tuned for updates.
