Chivas USA Coach Preki isn’t known as the greatest quote, but he had the assembled press corps in stitches in the post-game press conference Sunday in this exchange with a reporter about next weekend’s derby with the Galaxy.

Question: Next step is the Galaxy. Did you see their game last night or did you watch the tape at all?
Answer: In all honesty, I only watched the first 20 minutes of the game.

Comment: It only took 16 seconds.
A: It started at 10 o’clock (on TV), but by 10:20 I was tired so I went to sleep.” (Much laughter from the media). (Preki apparently always goes to bed early).

Comment from a bemused Preki: “It had nothing to do with the Galaxy.” (More laughter).

He added: “I think (that) came out wrong.”
