A total of 16,709 at Home Depot Center watched the Galaxy remain winless on the season, the Rapids' Conor Casey nailing the second hat trick of his career with the club.
Boos rang out around the Home Depot Center as the final whistle blew (were they aimed at the ref or the Galaxy?).
It was Colorado's first win in their last five trips to the South Bay.
