Cohesive, crisp passing, a virtually impenetrable defense that has only allowed two goals en route to seven shutouts all season and Han Duan’s first goal for the Sol in the road victory.
There was a play late in the game where Marta look a pass over the top and cut in toward goal. She did not score but boy did it show why she is the best player in the world. I was hoping to see that play on a highlight somewhere.
Studs Up
Lost a lot of respect for Marta who showed absolutely no concern for the fallen Pride defender after a side line challenge (which was not dirty by any means). The defender could clearly be heard on TV crying and in obvious agony but Marta did not even look over much less go and comfort her. Very poor sportswomenship.
PS – Is it me or do women players seem to be a lot more reckless/unrefined in their challenges? They seem to hurt themselves just as much as the opponents in their challenges.
