This was a more dominant Sol victory than the scoreline suggested with Camile Abily and player of the game Shannon Boxx scoring either side of half time to propel the WPS-leading Sol’s record to 6-1-2 before 6,288 at Home Depot Center. Athletica fell to 2-3-2.

That’s two goals in two games for Boxxy, not bad for a defensive midfielder; she scored the opening goal for the U.S. Monday in the 4-0 U.S. win over Canada.
