Half Time: Wizards at Galaxy

Galaxy 0 Kansas City Wizards 0

Alan Gordon missed two excellent chances to give the Galaxy the lead in this one, Wizards goalkeeper Kevin Hartman getting the best of him as he ran at the goal in a one on one situation in the 22nd minute and managing to hit the bar from just five yards out after getting on the end of an Eddie Lewis cross six minutes before the break.

The best chance for a Galaxy goal may have come from a Jimmy Conrad header that skidded off his scalp and whizzed just over the bar after he got in the way of a Dema Kovalenko shot.

The Wizards should have scored just before half time, but Galaxy goalkeeper Donovan Rickets again showed his quick reactions by stopping a hard Davy Arnaud at point blank range.

Both teams were credited with just one shot on target apiece.
