“It’s sad, so sad, it’s a sad sad situation…..” Who sang that Nick?

Superliga had it’s best outing that first year because of my gaLAxy’s good run (the only good thing they did btw). It’s been downhill since then.

Nick replies: Elton John in “Sorry seems to be the Hardest Word.” (And thanks for getting that song stuck in my head now).

This is a good thing for Chivas USA. SuperLiga is a joke. The only reason MLS/SUM originated it was to take advantage of Beckham’s presence in MLS, and try to market him (and, by extention, the league) to Mexican and Mexican-American fans. The Mexican clubs hate it, big money purses notwithstanding.

I expect next year’s SuperLiga to have San Jose, New York, Dallas, Columbus on the MLS side and Indios, Queretaro, Jaguares and Puebla on the Mexican side.
