New England Revolution (4-4-4) at Galaxy (3-3-9)

Lovely cool evening here at Home Depot Center and throughout the South Bay, which is maybe one reason why Landon Donovan is barbecuing on the beach ill and has stayed at his Manhattan Beach home this evening. Maybe he has Beckhamitis?

That means the same XI for Galaxy Coach Bruce Arena that dispatched MLS leaders the Houston Dynamo last time out aside from goalkeeper Josh Saunders who replaces the Gold Cupping-Donovan Ricketts.

The Galaxy’s starting lineup (4-4-2): Josh Saunders, A.J. DeLaGarza, Gregg Berhalter, Omar Gonzalez, Todd Dunivant, Jovan Kirovsk, Mike Magee, Stefani Miglioranzi, Eddie Lewis, Edson Buddle, Alan Gordon.

Alecko Eskandarian is on the bench alongside Chris Klein and Dema Kovalenko.

Late update: Gordon injured himself warming up (left calf strain); Eskandarian will start. Kyle Patterson is has now been added to the bench.

The Revs are without the concussion-prone Taylor Twellman; former Galaxy goalkeeper Matt Reis is in the net.

The game is on Fox Soccer Channel.
