Chivas USA-New York Red Bulls: Too Horrid to Watch?

Well, at some point you have to ask that question.

The level of ineptness that will be on display later today is summed up well here.

You've gotta love Chivas USA Coach Preki's response though: on Friday the club announced the signing of 20-year-old Columbian defender Yamith Cuesta on loan from Colombian side Expreso Rojo. Season changing signing, that (ahem).

Also, striker Ante Razov (who is yet to play this season anyway) and defender Jim Curtin (who has made all of two starts) were placed on the club's disabled list Friday and are pretty much done for the year.

From the club's press release:

Curtin has been added to the Disabled List due to a peroneus brevis tear in his left ankle, an injury which will require surgery, tentatively scheduled for Aug. 26, which will force the defender to miss between four and six months. Razov, a Los Angeles native and Chivas USA's all-time leading scorer, is on the Disabled List due to right ankle tendonitis. The forward underwent right ankle surgery on Jan. 30 and has not played a match in 2009 for the Red-and-White.

Brave souls should tune in at 4 p.m. on Prime.

The game looked just fine in my opinion, except for the gridiron lines.
