Chivas USA Goalkeeper Thornton Out up to Three Weeks

| | Comments (3) |

That's the word today after the club evaluated the right quad injury Zach Thornton picked up during their starting goalkeeper's 16 minutes of action in the MLS All-Star game last week. Just another reason to dislike the fake game.

And not a good sign for a club that was off almost three weeks and is attempting to stop a four-game losing streak Saturday against the Colorado Rapids.

With Dan Kennedy out injured that leaves Chivas USA with only the inexperienced Lance Parker on the roster, although they had been giving former Red Bull Jon Conway a trial.

At least Jorge Flores returned from U.S. Under-20 National Team duty unscathed. He scored three goals in three games on the trip to Argentina, but remember, according to Coach Preki, he's not an attacking player.

Preki is an idiot, he like older men too much.

They should bring pack Brad Guzan lol Like that would ever happen.

Two more weeks until the transfer window closes and they still haven't made a move yet.

Nick do you know if Razov is still trying to recover?

Nick replies: Yes, but I haven't checked on his progress in a while. Stay tuned.

The All-Star game is a joke. And the Thornton injury is the unfortunate result.

Nick,

A player can score a few goals, but that doesn't mean that he is an attacking player in skill or mindset---it just means he happened to score a few goals.

By the same token, just because a player DOESN'T score some goals, would not mean that he is NOT an attacking player in skill or mindset.

Then again, I remember that bizarre column you wrote a couple years ago about Galindo's Cuban pride when you got all confused about Che Guevara's historical record of murder and skullduggery.
Newsflash for Nick; Che Guevara was not even a Cuban.

In other words, facts, logic, and causation are not exactly your forte.

Nick replies: And who knew Preki bothered to comment on this blog. :)

BTW, thanks for the history lesson. Just because Guevara wasn't Cuban doesn't mean he isn't a hero to some, including Galindo - and that was the point of that column.
