A red card offense?
becksred.jpgDavid Beckham was sent off Saturday for this challenge on Pete Vagenas. (AP Photo)

Full disclosure: I skipped Saturday's Galaxy-Sounders game at Home Depot Center for a wedding and another anniversary (where did the 30 years from Aug. 14, 1979 go?)

BTW, since I'm all about milestones congrats to Jesse Marsch on making his 100th Chivas USA appearance Saturday.

Between glimpses of what looked like a tedious Chivas USA-Red Bulls game and a 10-man Galaxy that never looked like challenging Seattle in the second half after David Beckham was sent off early, it doesn't appear I missed much.

I'll not bother to post highlights.

Galaxy game story.

Chivas USA game story.

MLS standings.

Blue, green, yellow and red cards all rolled into one.

You must be the most relaxed, vactioned and/or off duty columnist/reporter/blogger on the internet. Is that the secret for lasting 30 years in a marriage?

Did not look like a red card at the time but based on the highlights it was. What was Eddie Lewis thinking? That's the second time he's been sent off for a reckless immature act, isn't he a little old for that?

Correction. That's a perfectly legit tackle.
I forgot my own name for a second.

Tackle looks a bit tough, but I see it every weekend at my kids' club soccer games around So Cal. Never a card much less a foul called.

Should have been red against Beckham, and should be red in youth games as well ...
