A mixup between Mike Magee and Landon Donovan just inside the Galaxy’s own half gave Chivas USA possession in the fourth minute that Sacha Kljestan used to good effect to find Maicon Santos, who’s deft outside of the foot shot into the far corner gave Donovan Ricketts no chance.

Donovan was at fault for that one is the consensus up here in the press box, although Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez surely gave Santos too much respect and space as well and should have closed him down better.
