I would bet Lewis and Klein would retire if they are picked, so no danger there (Klein may retire anyway). Dunivant might be the biggest loss, but AJ’s play at left back this year when Dunivant was out makes him an adequate replacement if necessary. It seems like the choice in the back line was to protect Berhalter or Dunivant and they must prefer Franklin outside rather than at center back. I’m assuming Alecko’s career may be done with the head injuries and the Union may be uncertain so he seems safe. Other than Dunivant (left back is a hard position to fill in MLS) or Saunders, Gordon could be the most likely Galaxy player to leave.

Good bye Todd Dunivent again. Just can’t seem to hang on to him. Big pick up for Philly.

I disagree Benny and Studs Up. Bryan Jordan is gone. Jordan is Peter Nowak’s type of player: He works hard at both ends of the ball and he’s hungry. He also has excellent speed and better touch than any Galaxy forward except Donovan and Eskandarian.

If Chivas USA loses anybody, it most likely would be Shavar Thomas. Good, physical central defenders are hard to find in MLS. The question is, what kind of contract does Thomas have?

  • Studs Up

Bryan Jordan does not have enough quality, touch, balance or soccer brains to be a dependable forward in MLS. He spends more time on the ground than on his feet. His speed can only partially compensate for those short comings. Helter skelter players are only good for spot duty. Nowak will not waste a precious pick on a very limited player.

Gerson Mayen – Isn’t he a “homegrown” player from our academy and does not need protection (like Flores, & Zamora)?

Do teams have to protect players if they are “on loan”?
    Cuesta & Santos?

Half the guys on the unprotected list were injured.

I wonder if we have a central defender coming up the pipeline?

Now i may be wrong because i dont know much about the keepers we have, Though Dunivent would be a good pick up i think Josh Saunders would be a good choice. He has a lot of playing experience due to the fact that Ricketts was injured a lot, including playing in the MLS Cup, which means he has potential to be good in playoffs
