While we and 200 million others await the results of today's World Cup draw (turn on ESPN2 or Univision right now if you haven't already) chew on these soccer-related items:

*Southern California Edison has fixed a piece of equipment that left 25,000 soccer fans shivering in the dark for almost 40 minutes during two power outages at Home Depot Center during last month's the MLS Western Conference Championship.

*The Cal State Dominguez Hills women will play in the NCAA Division II title game live at 10 a.m. Saturday on CBS College Sports (Channel 613 for those of you with DirecTV, BTW).

*For the second consecutive year, three players from the South Bay - Palos Verdes Estates' Christen Press of Stanford and Rolling Hills Estates' Whitney Engen of North Carolina and Rolling Hills Estates' Jenna Belcher of UCLA - contest the College Cup today. Stanford plays UCLA at 2:30 p.m. today on ESPN2; North Carolina-Notre Dame follows on ESPNU at 5 p.m.

*Finally, listen to Galaxy goalkeeper Josh Saunders on his MLS Cup experience and more here.

Updated: Freddy Adu just tweeted - "OMG OMG OMG OMG the world cup draw. Mad exciting. How anxious is everyone right now lol"
