Beckham "Forgettable" as Inter Win Milan Derby
At least, that was the verdict of the BBC as nine-man Inter Milan went nine points clear atop Serie A today over rivals AC Milan.

It was the first time David Beckham had tasted defeat with AC Milan while on loan there this season.
Full disclosure: I did not see the game because I'm stuck here at work on a Sunday and we don't get Fox Soccer Channel at the office.

Had you seen the game -- it was not a weak effort by Beckham, but ACM definitely needs to sort things out with Abato(sp?) who was playing right back. He is a former mid-fielder, and is clearly uncomfortable playing behind Becks-- and was constantly out of position -- costing ACM on Inter's first goal. The central defenders were constantly covering for him.
This is a real problem for ACM. It looks like Abato has Beckham envy -- doesn't know why they play the "old man" in front of him. I wonder how many people would pay to see Abato play? When they let Becks be Becks ACM will be better. I'm just saying...
Beckham played a decent game. He was largely absent in the 1st half but that was more due to the run or play or tactical direction from the team, they were running things mostly from the left. He showed so hustle on defense and won a few balls. He had a few passes that were bad but had his typical performance of playing in beautiful crosses into the box. If anything, he could probably be more assertive and shoot more or insist on taking some free kicks. Pirlo has been awful in the few games I've seen this year.
To be honest, you would have thought this was a Galaxy game, Beckham played in about 3 balls that should have been converted into goals but poor finishing resulted into zero goals. Boriello did not have a good game--it happens. Had Boriello converted at least one of the chances then everyone would have praise for Beckham's brilliant performance. That's the thing about Beckham's game, he has to have others play well in order for him to look good--he can play in 50 balls into the box and put them right on the forehead of a striker, but if they don't convert then it doesn't matter.
