San Jose Earthquakes (2-1) at Chivas USA (1-3) at Home Depot Center

Chivas USA Coach has rung the changes yet again as he seeks a second successive home win after last week’s loss at Houston, the club’s third defeat in four games to start the season.

The four changes to the starting lineup include a revamped strike force of Justin Braun and Jesus Padilla, who moves up from midfield; “Chucky” Chijindu and Maicon Santos both drop to the bench.

Rookie Ben Zemanski gets the first start of his MLS career in midfield, while Michael Lahoud also starts; Marcelo Saragosa is missing with a calf strain.

Chivas USA XI: Zach Thornton, Mariano Trujillo, Dario Delgado, Michael Umana, Jonathan Bornstein, Michael Lahoud, Ben Zemanski, Sacha Kljestan, Blair Gavin, Justin Braun, Jesus Padilla.

Osael Romero starts on the bench.

Earthquakes Coach Frank Yallop has his team above .500 for the first time since San Jose rejoined MLS and is seeking a third win in a row.

Brazilian striker Eduardo is out with a calf strain.

Former Galaxy midfielder Brandon McDonald starts for San Jose as does former Chivas USA defender Jason Hernandez.

The game is live on Fox Soccer Channel.
