Chris Wondolowski scored from the penalty spot in the 41 st minute after Jonathan Bornstein had tripped him in the box. The referee was in superb position to see the foul, which didn’t look like much initially, but proved to be the correct call on the replay.

It’s a shame because Chivas USA was playing probably their best half of the season.
