While the vast majority of soccer fans on the planet are most interested in the 11:30 a.m. Spain-Germany semifinal in South Africa there is another cup game today to concern Galaxy fans.

The Galaxy meet the Seattle Sounders (for the second time in five days) in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals in front of a sold-out crowd in the Pacific Northwest at the Starfire Sports Complex. Chivas USA awaits the winner.

The game can be seen live here.

Curiously, Alpine Village near Torrance may be the best place to catch both games.

There was a stunning atmosphere there last Saturday for the Argentina-Germany game and it could well be similar today (I’ll be there covering the event, incidentally) while the Galaxy-Sounders game will be streamed live tonight at 7 o’clock and shown on their projector TV in the upstairs loft.

Enjoy the games.
