Two South Bay youth teams win national titles

The Palos Verdes SC Black Under-14 Girls and South Bay Force Blue Under-16 Girls won their respective age categories Sunday at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

PVSC Exiles (CA-S) Under-14 Girls beat Maryland’s Bethesda Threat 4-1 with Sarah Sanger scoring the second minute opener for PVSC. Bethesda pulled level in the 28th minute, but PVSC ran away with it by scoring two goals in four minutes from Lauren Kai in the 38th minute and Jordyn Alves in the 42nd. Karlee Neer wrapped up the victory for PVSC in the 61st minute.

South Bay Force Blue Under-16 Girls won 4-2 on penalty kicks after tying AR Rush Nike 94 0-0 in the championship game.
