    Nick,

You posted the wrong score. It should have been 2-1 but in reality it was 2-2.

Typo corrected. Thank you, soccer fan.

I don’t know whether it’s Leonardo himself, but both times Leonardo has started in the back, the Galaxy have been caught ball-watching and allowed soft goals. Once vs NE when he was paired up with Berhalter, last night vs SJ when he was paired up with Gonzales.

Perhaps Arena is hoping he’ll develop, and these games are cheap practice: a nine-point cushion allows some risk-taking, after all.

On the plus side, the G’s midfield dominated much of the game last night, possession was extremely one-sided and they pushed the ball into the penalty area constantly. On the minus side, they didn’t finish well.

Right now, a strong but not dominant MLS team. They can beat anybody, and they can lose to anybody.

I admire Alan Gordon for keeping plugging away, but seriously, they need another forward in there to complement Buddle. (Assuming Donovan is playing in midfield.)
