Sunday Superclasico gameday

There’s plenty of incentive for both teams in today’s second derby of the season between Chivas USA and the Galaxy at Home Depot Center (5 p.m. ESPN2).

Real Salt Lake’s victory Saturday over the New England Revolution means the Galaxy must win to retake the top spot in the league.

Chivas USA, almost miraculously, are still not officially eliminated from the playoffs after Saturday’s games, although one suspects it’s just a matter of time until they are.

Their time could come today: lose to their intercity rivals and the Goats are dead meat.

Reporter Phil Collin has the preview this morning.
