Monday Galaxy camp update

Daily Breeze photographer Brad Graverson had some fine shots out at training today as the Galaxy close in on a week until the season opens, a week from Tuesday in Seattle against the Sounders.

Coach Bruce Arena sounds like he’s done with preseason.

“There’s a lot of unknowns at this point,” he said Monday. “You never know if you’re moving them along in the right way for the start of the season.

“It’s time to get on and just play there’s only so much of this you can be doing. We’ve had enough.”

I’ll have more on Jack McBean in Tuesday’s column.

McBean’s presence marked the first time this preseason the Galaxy had their entire 28-player roster practicing today.

However, first round draft pick Dan Keat out of Dartmouth is still bothered by a heel injury and didn’t practice fully with the first team, while I’m told Gregg Berhalter is performing more coaching duties these days; he spent practice jogging around the field conditioning – he’s still battling a knee injury.
