*The Union have never beaten the Galaxy in their brief history and if they do so tonight it will be without Coach Peter Nowak.

*David Beckham is supposedly “resting” back home in LA perhaps because he’s planning another trip back to England. That Tuesday testimonial (a quaint English tradition started decades ago when players never made much money during their brief careers that’s now largely irrelevant given the money players make now) is sandwiched between the Chivas USA-Galaxy game Saturday, May 21 and a Wednesday game against Houston in Carson.
