Like fans, journalists like to watch great players; players capable of fantastic quotes, we love even more.

They are far, far more rare.

Here's Chivas USA central defender Jimmy Conrad's farewell address

Athletes don't like to talk about concussions; Conrad was no exception:

"The biggest relief (now that I'm retiring) is that now I can tell everyone what happened and I can get on with my modeling career."

Jimmy, thanks for a great 13 years. Reporters everywhere will miss you.
