Staff Writer Phil Collin has the game story.

Notable: The Galaxy and RSL combined for 40 fouls – the visitors accounted for 24 of them.

And it’s now seven games unbeaten for the Galaxy.

The And Now You Know Department: Galaxy coach Bruce Arena gave one of the longest answers I’ve ever heard him provide when he was asked about the secret of the club’s success this season.

The bottom line is that the Galaxy have a happy locker room:

“I give (captain) Landon Donovan a lot of credit for his leadership, setting the tone each and every day,” Arena said. “Even when we don’t get the result we want they stick together and get back to business the next day.”

I spent most of my time in the locker room chatting with and about Juninho, who gets my vote as the most improved Galaxy player this year. I’ll have more on him in Tuesday’s column.

Next: Galaxy at New York Red Bulls Tuesday where they could become regular season champions live on national television.
