f333.jpgIt is now exactly 22 days until MLS Cup at Home Depot Center and we have six hours of MLS playoff soccer ahead of us today.

If the Galaxy needed to be reminded about the irrelevance of the regular season in Major League Soccer, they need look no further than the Seattle Sounders' humbling Saturday night loss to Real Salt Lake - that could have even be worse - and gives them a real uphill trudge in the return leg to make the next round.

It appears, howevver, as Staff Writer Phil Collin reports, the Galaxy likely have their big guns back and are well aware of the postseason pitfalls, especially against an inconsistent New York team that nevertheless has the personnel to rise to the big occasion.

After the noon game on ESPN2, Houston is at Philadelphia on the same channel and the Colorado-Rapids-Sporting Kansas City contest follows at 4 p.m. on Fox Soccer.
