There are three days left to go until MLS Cup 2011 in Carson between the Galaxy and Houston Dynamo.

*The interactive guide to MLS Cup activities in the South Bay and beyond is here.

*David Beckham missed Galaxy practice Thursday - and it appears that the club, after incurring a fine from MLS earlier this season because of lying about player injuries, may be at it again.

*Staff Writer Phil Collin has more on the news leading up to the championship game.

*Dwayne De Rosario easily beat nearest contender Brad Davis of the Houston Dynamo to the MLS MVP Award the league announced overnight receiving 72.8 percent of the weighted club, media and player vote compared to 43.7 percent of the vote for Davis.

The Galaxy's Landon Donovan finished fourth in the voting, behind Brek Shea of Dallas.

From the MLS press release:

Previously a finalist for MLS MVP honors in 2005 and 2006, De Rosario wins the award for the first time in his career in 2011 after capturing the Budweiser Golden Boot as the leading scorer in MLS, with 16 goals and 12 assists. De Rosario was also named MLS Best XI this year for a League-record sixth time.

De Rosario became the first player in MLS history to score for three different teams in one year.

*Sports media columnist Tom Hoffarth talks to ESPN's MLS Cup English play-by-play man Ian Darke and looks at the Galaxy's new megabucks TV deal in today's column that will officially be announced today.

*Finally, check out the stupid MLS Cup tricks from the top of Staples Center:
