It's a sickening blow for the Galaxy and UCLA product Chad Barrett, the Galaxy's second leading goalscorer.

The seven-year MLS veteran, playing his first season in Southern California, dislocated his right ankle in training today.

He had seven goals and five assists in 27 regular season games this season.

He joined the Galaxy in a trade from Toronto FC in January and was enjoying his first MLS postseason since 2007. Barrett started all three Galaxy playoff games.

MLS Cup in Carson is just 11 days away.
