f333.jpgIf there is cause for worry for Galaxy fans ahead of Sunday's MLS Cup showdown between the heavily favored hosts and the Houston Dynamo, it's that LA are overwhelming favorites.

Is that a weird thing to fret about?

The Galaxy may deserve their status as favorities based on their unmatchable regular season record and - for the most part - performances, but they haven't emerged triumphant from most of their MLS Cup appearances in the past. Worse, they have shown a proclivity for finding ways to lose big games, often by blowing leads they should have held.

I trace the history of the Galaxy in the MLS Cup in today's column in hopes the club learns from the past - and looks ahead to Sunday's MLS finale with renewed determination not to let another big game slip away.
