Tuesday's Column: Galaxy's pursuit of perfection

Despite the weather, it was a picture perfect third MLS Cup triumph Sunday for the Galaxy.
It has been a long time coming.
The Galaxy first won MLS Cup in 2002, the year before moving to Home Depot Center, almost a decade ago.
A second championship happened along in 2005, although the mediocre season that preceded it and the manner of the victory devalued the title in the eyes of many.
But this year's win was a true accomplishment by the management, coaching staff and players on many different levels - and one that bodes well for the future - as I outline in today's column.
Also, here's what the fashionably dressed Galaxy fan will want for Christmas in the wake of that win.
