U.S. Women’s National Team Olympians on Parade at Carson’s Home Depot Center today

Putting aside the elephant in the room for 90 minutes or so the gold medal-winning women’s Olympic team celebrates its performance in London at Home Depot Center at 12:30 p.m. against Australia (live on NBC).

After going through their paces at a steamy Home Depot Center in front of hundreds of fans attending a free practice session, Southern Californians on the team, native and adopted, are looking forward to the game:

Then afterward we can go back to fretting about the future of the women’s pro game in this county without a top-flight league and no significant international competitions for three years.
