Galaxy Clinch Playoff Spot in Style

Galaxy 4 Toronto 2

Simply put, the Galaxy are rolling at just the right time of the season.

Staff Writer Phil Collin filed the game story.

Check out the MLS standings.

Do not miss Juninho’s two goals (and it could have been three from him).

Next for the Galaxy: in Colorado against the Rapids Sept. 30.

Then comes three huge games to end the season against Real Salt Lake Oct. 6 at home, Oct. 21 in San Jose against the Earthquakes, and finishing the year hosting Seattle Oct. 28.

We’ll find out how good they are very quickly. After Colorado next week, the last three games are against the other three teams atop the Western Division, notably San Jose.

If San Jose can get 9 points out of their last four games and reach 69, they will have put together the greatest MLS regular season ever, surpassing the 1998 Galaxy (68 points) and the 2011 Galaxy (67). Easier said than done, of course.

it seems the Galxy while they scored and looked great almost lost the games against Toronto in the final dying minutes. they looked sloppy in the last 8 minutes
