Dodger Stadium history made as Galaxy beats Juventus, Everton falls to Real Madrid

Phil Collin had the game story, while I talked to fans about the novelty of playing the first ever soccer games at Dodger Stadium.

Still, it would appear the bloom is off the Real Madrid rose with a disappointingly small crowd on hand after the Spanish club has made a habit of coming to Southern California perhaps once too often.

Oh, and it almost goes without saying but Chivas USA lost again, new signing Carlos Bocanegra deservingly getting his marching orders for a potentially lethal leaping two-footed tackle. Sister newspaper The San Jose Mercury News has the game story.
