Weekly Soccer Column: LA Galaxy gets Older to get Better

GalaxyThe Galaxy and MLS have focused most recently on improving their youth development systems as competition heats up for potential future professionals (Mexican clubs are increasingly poaching promising U.S. youngsters, for instance) with the latest example being the merger of club teams LA Galaxy South bay (formerly the South Bay Force) and Exiles SC into a Southern California superclub of sorts.

Yet the Galaxy have concentrated so far on experience rather than youth ahead of the 2014 MLS season.
