Not noted above: the Seattle Sounders, the club many observers believe are the Galaxy’s main rival for the Western Conference crown, decisively beat New England 3-0 in the final MLS game of the weekend.

*While this is Robbie Keane’s goal, it’s the prescient header from Baggio Husidec that creates the opportunity in the Galaxy’s Friday night 2-0 win over the Chicago Fire:

*A lot of big names got on the scoresheet Monday including Jozy Altidore, Clint Dempsey and Kaka, but the best goal of the weekend from one of the new stars to join MLS was this carefully placed effort for Mix Diskerud who etched his name in the NYCFC history books:

*Finally, this wasn’t the best goal of the weekend, but it was arguably the most dramatic coming at simply the best moment in the game to seal the win:
