A rare Thursday game kicks off the Galaxy’s CONCACAF Champions League campaign Aug. 6.

The Galaxy will host Central FC, who are the runners up of the 2013-14 FA Trophy of Trinidad and Tobago, at StubHub Center on Thursday, August 6 at 7 p.m. PT to open their group stage schedule. Following that game, the Galaxy return to Champions League play when they host Comunicaciones FC at StubHub Center on Tuesday, August 18 at 7 p.m. PT. It marks the first time the Galaxy will face either side in the CONCACAF Champions League.
On September 23, the Galaxy will travel to Trinidad and Tobago to face Central FC for the second and final time in Group D action. Central FC was founded in 2012 and play their home matches in Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva. The team won the First Citizens Cup in 2013. Central FC also captured the Locuzade Sport Goal Shield in 2014.
The Galaxy will close out the group stage on Wednesday, October 21 when they travel to Guatemala City to face Comunicaciones FC. Comunicaciones is one of the most successful clubs in Guatemalan football history. Based in Estadio La Pedrera in Guatemala City, Comunicaciones has won a record 30 Liga Nacional de Guatemala titles, eight Copa de Guatemala titles and one CONCACAF Champions’ Cup.
